AIgean: A Proposed Sovereign AI Platform for Türkiye and Greece

AIgean is being designed as an advanced sovereign AI platform to strengthen peace, economic cooperation, humanitarian coordination, and regional stability between Türkiye and Greece. It is a proposal, not a deployed government system.

What it would do

The two nations should build AIgean as a next-generation predictive intelligence engine. It combines artificial intelligence, economic modelling, geospatial analytics, and real-time regional data into a unified operational system that helps both nations make smarter, faster, and more cooperative decisions.

• Trade and customs: reduced friction for cross-border goods and services.
• Humanitarian logistics: coordinated response to earthquakes, wildfires, and migration pressure.
• Economic modelling: shared forecasting for investment, tourism, and energy planning.
• Geospatial analytics: transparent, verifiable situational awareness in the Aegean Sea.
• Secure data exchange: sovereign control retained by each state over its own data.

Why sovereignty matters

A cooperative platform is only credible if neither party depends on the other, or on an outside actor, for control of its own data. AIgean is therefore specified as a shared operating layer with sovereign custody, auditable rules, and symmetric access.

Why it accelerates the Council

If AIgean is designed and built at the centre of the Aegean Council, the work of the Council can be done far faster, at lower cost, and more securely than through paperwork-based coordination alone.
